PARENTS
Belonging to a family,that escaped from lahore during the 1947 Hindu Muslim riots on account of the partition related tension,Mr R.S.Sharma is an illuminary who passed his engineering from both mechanical and electrical streams.Sharma senior served an executive engineer in the Punjab State Electricity Board and was instrumental in the growth and development of Guru Nanak Dev Thermal Plant,Bhatinda.In his young age he was an avid freedom fighter who made notable contributions in the freedom struggle. He was instrumental in opening the first KHADI BHANDAR in Sultanpur.Currently at the age of 83, he is still an avid social worker who is constantly striving to make world a better place.
Mrs Motirani Sharma was born in a family of illuminaries, her father was a jury member.She got married at an early age in the year 1946 and is a house wife providing ample support to her husband.
EARLY LIFE
Born to such extraordinary parents and being a member of a family of seven(3 sisters, 1 brother)young Satish Sharma showed signs of early brilliance when he got selected for a primary level scholarship excelling in a state level merit list in the state of Punjab.Though he liked all types of sports but he had a special liking for cricket and went on to play it upto the state level before his love for law took him to his destiny. It was during the practice sessions of one of the state university level matches that he got to meet the legendary Kapil Dev.He was a noted Bhangra dancer during his school and college life.After passing his pre university examinations, he did his bachelors degree in humanities from Punjabi University,Patiala.It was then that he realised his potential and from then on his romance with legal studies started.He completed his LL.B. from Rajasthan University getting a first class in a below 10% pass result.
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
After completing LL.B. Satish Sharma got himself registered with Bar Council Of Uttar Pradesh in the year 1982 and started his practice in District Court,Sultanpur. Very soon he realised that he had a special skill in the criminal side of legal affairs. By 1984 Satish Sharma was a well known name in the District Court and also one of the most expensive advocates.The District Court was a very small platform for Mr. Sharma to showcase his talents and he was feeling inhibited and suffocated for creativity out there.In December 1985 Satish Sharma left his native Sultanpur to practice in the High Court, Lucknow bench,Lucknow.This was a big challenge and an even bigger opportunity for the young lawyer.It is well known that it is difficult to survive in the High Court without any backup or inheritance but young Sharma was just too talented to be inhibited by such pressures.Although the start was tough but once the tempo was gained it went on and on ,never to end, and a young lawyer turned into an experienced seasoned legal practitioner at the High Court.From then on there was no looking back and the going has been rosy ever since. His notable achievements have been serving as the Former Presenting Officer of State Public Services Tribunal,Uttar Pradesh(Lucknow),Former Secretary of Public Services Tribunal Bar Association(Lucknow),Currently counsel for Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation(Kanpur) and Jal Sansthan(Agra).He served as the Secretary(honorary) of Vishal Bal Vidya Mandir Shiksha Samiti(a society for providing education to poorest of poor)and also was the manager(honorary)for Vishal Bal Vidya Mandir,an educational institution run by the society. He also briefly served as the counsel for the Sunil Dutt Sanjay Dutt Fan Association.Presently he is one of the most respected frontline advocates in the North Indian Domain.
PERSONAL LIFE
Satish Sharma was married to Usha Sharma on 24th june 1985. They have two children, son Shetanshudhar Sharma(born 26th april 1986) and daughter Shachi Sharma(born 27th april 1990).Shetanshudhar is an assistant software engineer working in a blue chip IT firm while Shachi is pursuing her graduation in the field of Commerce.The Sharmas are one happy family tied together with strong moral bonds.
