PlayStation Move Hands-on Impressions

At GDC 2010, Sony formally introduced its motion controller, aptly titled: PlayStation Move. For those that haven't been following its development and unveiling at E3 2009, the technology pairs a camera (the already available PlayStation Eye) and a wand with a colored orb at the top.

PlayStation Move Media Bonanza: SOCOM 4, Sports Champions, The Shoot, Party and More

Having just blown the lid off the PlayStation Move (a.k.a PlayStation 3 Motion Controller) and its Sub-Controller, Sony has now unleashed a plethora of assets for some of the compatible games that were shown during this evening's press conference.

Evening Reading: Capcom Fight Clubs

My favorite event at any show is the inevitable Fight Club held by Capcom to show off Super Street Fighter IV (and other titles). There's great food, free drinks, and Street Fighter. Now, the quality of player isn't too high at these events unless they are open to the community (I got destroyed at CES 2010), but it's always fun to see friends and talk SF.

Civilization 5 First Impressions from GDC 2010

The recently announced Civilization V will use hexes in place of square tiles along with some major combat changes. The game was shown off at GDC 2010 and I got a look at the new UI, diplomacy, and combat running beautifully in Windows 7 and DirectX 11.

Split/Second GDC 2010 Impressions

Split/Second was one of my bigger surprises at E3 last year. I probably played the one airport track that was on demo a dozen times. The combination of arcade racing and screen-blurring speed with letting me blow up the environment to knock out the other racers completely got its hooks in me. I finally got to see and play some more of the game at GDC.
