}} Anemone thomsonii is a species of Anemone which grows on the slopes of mountains in East Africa.
Description
Anemone thomsonii leaves attach to the base of the plant and are extremely divided almost into separate parts with the segments linear and less than a millimeter wide. The whole leaf, the collection of divided segments, is deeply lobed and broadly elliptically shapped.Description
Endemic to the Arusha Region, (Mount Hanang and Mount Meru) Tanzania.The following was presented as a first hand view of the flora on Kilimanjaro:
- "The gently arching, pink flowered Dierama pendulum and the white flowered Anemone thomsonii are often hidden by clumps of grass as is the small pink-flowered orchid Disa stairsii."
