Gaming hardware developer Razer has announced a new multi-year partnership with Sixense Entertainment and Valve Software to deliver a, "...revolutionary true-to-life, next-generation motion sensing and gesture recognition controller for PC gaming." Razer, Valve, and Sixense, along with a selection of PC OEM partners, are aiming to produce, "...ultra-precise one-to-one motion sensing controllers that use electromagnetic fields to track precise movements along all six axes." Each controller will reportedly track its orientation within a single degree, and detect positioning within one millimeter.

Evening Reading: So Much Motion

Alright, so you're stuck with me for at least one more Evening Reading. My apologies, but them's the breaks. The 2010 Consumer Electronics Show continues to be the talk of the internet today, though thus far my mind remains relatively un-blown compared to years past. I want to see more R/C cars with on-board HD video streaming via wi-fi and fewer $20,000 TVs. That's fine though, because my mind was still blown to smithereens today--as it is every day--by all the amazing gaming news we've got right here on the Shack.

Abu Ayoub al-Iraqi has been credited with being one of the original founders of al-Qaeda, but he does not appear on public "wanted" lists and his status is apparently not known.

In the 2001 trial for the 1998 bombings of U.S. Embassies in Africa, Jamal al-Fadl testified that he first met Abu Ayoub al-Iraqi at a worldwide jihad group in a meeting in Khost, Afghanistan in 1989. Roberto Pucci

Roberto Pucci (Florence, 1463 – Rome, 17 January 1547) was an Italian cardinal from the Florentine noble family of the Pucci.

Life

One of the Medici's keenest supporters, he nevertheless advised pope Clement VII against starting the siege of Florence in 1529. He began his career by holding several significant civil posts in Florence, such as in the court of duke Alessandro de' Medici, who set up the new constitution which put an end to the republic of Florence. He married and had four children, but on his wife's death he decided to be ordained to the priesthood and moved to Rome. There he was made bishop of Pistoia in 1541, encouraged by his nephew Antonio who had just given up that post himself. (Roberto's brother Antonio Pucci was also a bishop and cardinal.) Roberto was later made a cardinal by pope Paul III in the 2 June 1542 consistory. In October 1542, Roberto baptised Roberto Bellarmino (Bellarmino had been named after Pucci). Roberto Pucci was then united dioceses of Melfi and Rapolla and made Major Penitentiary.
