Video Games to Watch for in 2010: Garnett's Picks

With the New Year upon us the Shacknews editors looked at the upcoming release calendars and chose our three most anticipated games of the lot. There's nothing remotely scientific or analytical about it. These are the games, though, that as gamers we're already wishing we had in our systems. Here's what's got Garnett going for 2010:

Croatia men′s national junior ice hockey team


The Croatian men's national under 20 ice hockey team is the national under-20 ice hockey team in Croatia. The team represents Croatia at the International Ice Hockey Federation's World Junior Hockey Championship Division I.

John Allanson


John Allanson was a rugby league footballer of the '80s and '90s. He played for the Western Suburbs Magpies from 1987 to 1988 and the Newcastle Knights from 1989 to 1990. He played for Country Origin in 1987 and 1990.

Major League Umpires Association


The Major League Umpires Association was a union for the umpires of both the American League and the National League. It was formed in 1970.

History

After a one-day strike by the umpires, the union was recognized by both the National and American League presidents. It then proceeded to win several pay raises for the umpires.

Mizutania

HMS Arpha

Arpha was a 602 GRT passenger ferry built in 1900 as Canterbury for the South Eastern and Chatham Railway. She passed to the Southern Railway on 1 January 1923. She was sold to W E Guinness in 1926 and renamed Arpha. In 1938 she was sold to Sark Motorships Ltd, only to be requisitioned by the Royal Navy in 1939. Postwar, she was sold to Compania Shell de Venezuela and renamed Coriano. After a further change of ownership she was scrapped in 1955.

2010 Bilecik train collision


The 2010 Bilecik train collision happened on 3 January 2010. It involved two passenger trains. One person was killed and seven people were injured.

Accident

On 3 January 2010, two passenger trains were involved in a collision at Bilecik, Turkey when one train ran into the rear of another. One train driver was killed and seven passengers were injured. Both trains were travelling from Istanbul to Eskisehir.The second train passed a signal and ran into the rear of the first train, which was stationary at the time.

Jack Challinor

Ellenberger Cottage


}} Ellenberger Cottage is a historic cure cottage located at Saranac Lake in the town of Harrietstown, Franklin County, New York. It was built in 1914 and is a two and a half story, wood frame dwelling on a concrete block foundation, clad in wooden clapboard and shingles in staggered butt pattern and surmounted by a gable roof clad in asphalt shingles. The building is inspired by Queen Anne Style architecture and has a one story verandah with classically detailed columns and portico. See also:

Switzerland-Libya conflict is a conflict between Switzerland and Libya caused by the arrest of a son of Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi in Switzerland in 2008.
