Dubbi

' This village is located in Union Council Sabar Rind, Tehsil Thari Mirwah District Khairpur, Sindh Pakistan. Village is on the border of Tehsil Thari Mirwah and Nara; we can say Dubbi is located on the bank of Thar Desert. Western side of village is a belt of beautiful, fertile and productive fields/lands irrigated with crops and trees of Mango, Date Palm etc. Mirwah canal one of the Sukkur barrage canal is flowing also in western side of Village. In east side of village there are more than 6 beautiful natural salt water lakes fish, birds and many other wild lives. Lakes are surrounded with between high mounds of sand. There is a series of hills called Rohri hills only 3 kilometers in east of these lakes. Village has 400 houses with populations of 1750 people. Main Cities and places of interest in reach are Bozdar Wada 6 KM, Thari Mirwah 10 KM, Kotdiji the main archeological site 23 KM, Sawan Gas Field 25 KM, Numbri Pond (Base of Arab Sheikh of UAE for hunting) 7 KM and Khairpur 30 KM. Majority of the people are farmers. Hot in summer and cold in winter due to sand dunes. Village is mixture of houses and trees. Most of the people cultivate trees in front of their houses and use shadow of these trees in hot days of summer to get cold wind. Majority of the people have mud houses with a simple design. Most of the families have a separate guest room called as Otaq. People serve free food, water and accommodation to the guests and visitors in Otaqs. Major crops of the village are Wheat, Cotton, Banana, Sugar Cane, Juwar, Rice and vegetables. Fruits in Dubbi are Dates, Mangoes, Banana, and Amrood. Cattle in Village are Buffalo, Cow, Goat, Sheep, Dog, Donkey, Horse, and Camel. People use wagon service Dubbi to Sukkur via Khairpur, Bikes, and Motor cars to travel. They also use tractor trolley, Camel cart, donkey cart and trucks to transport goods in/out.
