Diego Ruiz (skier)


Diego Ruiz Asín (born June 25, 1977) is a Spanish cross-country skier who has competed in the World Cup since 1998. Ruiz competed at three Winter Olympics ( 1998, 2006, and 2010) and in four FIS Nordic World Ski Championships from 2003 to 2009. His best Olympic result is a 23rd place in the 50 km event in 2006. His best World Championships result is a 17th place at the 50 km event in Oberstdorf in 2005, and his best World Cup result is a 18th place at a 15 km event in Changchun in 2007.

Ruiz was born in Jaca, where he currently lives.

Dorris Henderson


Dorris Henderson (1933 - 3rd March 2005) was an American-born, United Kingdom-based folk music singer and autoharp player.

Early years

Born in Lakeland, Florida but raised in Los Angeles, she was the daughter of an African American clergyman and the granddaughter of a Blackfoot Native American.Colin Irwin, Dorris Henderson - US folk singer who settled in London, from The Independent She initially worked as a civil servant but became interested in music after seeing a performance by Odetta at the famed LA folk venue the Ash Grove. She soon became a regular at Sunset Boulevard's jazz clubs and soon began to perform autoharp version of tunes from Alan Lomax's The Folk Songs of North America. Henderson got her break when she met Lord Buckley and joined him for a series of stage shows in Hollywood, including an appearance playing ' Rock of Ages' on one of Buckley's live albums.

Jean Rioux


Jean Rioux (born June 9, 1953) is an educator, businessman and political figure in Quebec. He represented Iberville in the Quebec National Assembly from 2003 to 2007 as a Liberal.

He was born in Trois-Rivières, the son of Richard Rioux and Janine Vincent, and was educated at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and the Université Laval. Rioux taught history and economics in Iberville. He served on the municipal council for Iberville from 1991 to 1995 and was mayor from 1995 to 2001. Rioux was defeated when he ran for reelection in 2007.

Miloš Veselý (born May 6, 1972) is a Czech bobsledder who has competed since 1997. Competing in two Winter Olympics, he earned his best finish of 16th in the four-man event at Vancouver in 2010.

Vesleý's best finish at the FIBT World Championships was 11th in the four-man event at Calgary in 2005. His best World Cup finish was ninth in the four-man event at St. Moritz in 2005.
