I arrived at the old, dark place I call the Death House! “I don’t want to be here, I haven’t done anything wrong!” Max bellowed. “Yes you have, you have done everything wrong,” screamed Mum. That night Max was walking slowly down the dark corridor to his bedroom. Then he heard his sister going down the corridor behind him, or was it… He stopped, and the noise was gone. Thinking it was all his imagination, he started walking again, but then be heard footsteps a second time. It was probably his sister, but no, it couldn’t be. She was already in her bedroom. Max looked back. He could see a mysterious figure. He looked again and it had vanished. The next day Max still couldn’t get over what happened last night. He kept asking his sister, Eleasha if it was her that was walking down the corridors, but she just ignored him. That afternoon Max strolled down the corridor to the library. The library was very spooky and dark, despite it still being daylight! “It’s got to be here!” Max whispered. “It’s got to be,” “Ha, ha there it is the history of the orphanage from the day, 7th of May 1815-present.” Max read in the dusty, old book, Secrets of the moonstone In daylight or at night a mysterious figure comes into site, may it be him the one who wants the stone. Max jumped to the light switch but the light switch hadn’t been used for over fifty years so he got out his laser discs (the ones that changes into a ball) and through it at the light switch, the light switch suddenly burst into life. Then Max realized that the figure was just a black cat, feeling very scared Max ran down the corridor to his bedroom. He liked his bedroom it was his den, he was in his bedroom nobody liked him. Max really liked his door as well because it had a hidden button to make the hidden door open. Max went to bed that night feeling scared. He didn’t want to go sleep that night because he was frightened that the headless horseman would get him-although he knew it was just a myth! Finally he went to sleep (he was snoring heavily.) Max awoke the next day with a bossy adult named Tim shouting in his ear. “Wake-up lazy bones its 9 `o` clock,” “Time to go to school” said Tim bossily “Huh, nobody told me I was going to school” muttered max “Hurry up then, school starts at 9:30” Said Tim impatiently “Ok I’m not a baby” muttered max again.
