Evening Reading

How's everyone StarCraft II week going? Playing anything else besides Blizzard's RTS? How about the Natural Selection 2 Alpha? BlazBlue: Continuum Shift? The Elemental: War of Magic beta? What? I believe I'm a little over halfway through the campaign and it's mostly living up to my expectations, but hopefully I'll be able to finish and have a review up shortly. Gaming News o'the Day

Different Worlds (song)


"Different Worlds" is the theme song from the short-lived ABC sitcom, " Angie" starring Donna Pescow. The song was written by Norman Gimbel and Charles Fox and was sung by Maureen McGovern. "Different Worlds" was McGovern's only number one on the Adult Contemporary chart. The single spent two weeks at number one and peaked at number eighteen on the Billboard Hot 100 .

Oh, hallo there. I'm sure I had something or other to tell you this morning but I'm in a bit of a tizzy after nipping out to pick up StarCraft II during my lunchbreak. Perhaps I intended to highlight Gratuitous Space Battles developer Cliff Harris writing about "the marketing / production tradeoff." It's quite possible that I meant to excitedly point out that Squid Yes, Not So Octopus creator Rob Fearon is soon to release Fish Fish Bang Bang .

Oral History Society


The Oral History Society promotes the collection, preservation and use of recorded memories of the past. The British based organisation was founded in 1973, with its origins in an informal day conference at the British Institute of Recorded Sound (BIRS) in 1969.George Ewart Evans, Thea Thompson, Tony Green, Theo Barker and Patrick Saul, ‘The Leicester Conference on the problems of Oral History', Oral History, Vol. 1, No. 3 (1972), p. 12.

As well as offering practical advice and support, the Society aims to raise standards in oral history practices across a range of activities and disciplines. Through an annual conference, other meetings, a web site and the Oral History journal the Society encourages individuals to share ideas, experience and good practice.
