Robert "Bob" Charles Kucera was born November 16, 1944 in Cardiff in Wales. He has been a Labor and now Independent member of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly representing the electorate of Yokine after winning the seat in the 2001 election defeating Kim Hames.
Kucera resigned from the Labor Party in October 2005 after claims of a conflict in interest. Kucera and his wife both held shares in Alinta Gas, an energy supply company, when cabinet made decisions that would benefit the company.
