Backround
Ernesto "Ernie" Cardenas (played by Valente Rodriguez) has been George's best friend since the second grade and George's former co-worker. He works on the assembly line at Power Bros. Aviation. He is portrayed as an incompetent, clumsy loser who cannot seem to ever get a date due to his inability to connect with women. He has a huge crush on Angie, and can often be seen hitting on her, much to George's dismay. His mother is extremely fat, and lots of jokes are made about her, especially by George and Benny. He used to live with his parents until George inspired him to get his own apartment.
Relationships
George Lopez is Ernie's best-friend since the second-grade. They both work in the same airplane parts factory. Ernie has a crush on George's wife.
Angie Lopez is Ernie's best-friend's wife. Ernie is usually hitting on her.
Silvie Cardenas is Ernie's over-weighted mother.
