Ernst Ziehm

Dr. Ernst Bruno Victor Ziehm (May 1, 1867 - July 7, 1962) was a German/Danzig politician from the right-wing German National People's Party.
Born in Daremau (now Dąbrowa Chełmińska, Poland, then East Prussia), he studied jurisprudence and judicial Intern in Strasbourg and Marienweder (now Kwidzyn) from 1905 to 1914. Then he became judicial official in Oppeln (now Opole). In 1914 he became administrator in Danzig.
From 1931 to 1933 he served as President of the Senate of the Free City of Danzig (head of state). Then he was replaced by Hermann Rauschning, as Nazis seized control over city-state government.
Ziehm died in Lübeck.
