Mohammad Hameed Shahid‘Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik: Life and Works’ by Muhammad Hameed Shahid was published by the Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) which evaluate the literary critic. This books of the Pakistani Adab Ke Memar series is of great significance. According to PAL Chairman Iftikhar Arif, Prof Malik is a great critic, a prominent intellectual and a distinguished scholar of Pakistaniat and Iqbaliat. He always expresses his views about the identity of Islamic Ummah with a passion that traces back to Allama Muhammad Iqbal. From ‘Ta’assubat’, ‘Tehseen-o-Tardeed’ and ‘Andaz-e-Nazar’ to ‘Apni Aag Ki Talaash’ are authentic references of appreciating Iqbal and Faiz. “Malik has not only enriched Urdu literature, but he is also considered an authority on Pakistaniat and Iqbaliat,” adding that he was also performing a significant national services as the National Language Authority chairman.
Urdu short story writer and critic Muhammad Hameed Shahid has written a book ‘Prof Fateh Muhammad Malik: Life and Works’ in 2008.
