I’m Back…

daily life | family | lynx | misc | uncategorized

I'm back everyone. After 2 long and hectic weeks, its all pretty much finished. Yesterday We finished moving the last of the stuff out of the old house, and did a massive clean up. It ain't pretty, but after 8 years on living there (and 8 years of heavy smoking) the wall definitely need to be repainted. I'm just glad it's finished, and I don't mind living out of boxes for a little while, as long as I don't have to lift them . The cable guy came on Friday, and I just got around to hooking up the cable 'net connection yesterday. I had to call customer service to have them reset the modem's MAC address on my account, and after that I was connected. I hooked up my computer and it's sitting on a tiny sewing table. My big beautiful corner desk wasn't going to survive the trip, so I gave it to my best friend whom lived downstairs from me. We set it up in his house, and kinda propped it up the best we could with L-brackets and what not. It'll survive there for a couple more years, and then turn to dust (its a particle board construction, and its already 6-7 years old and crumbling). We went out Thursday to look for a new desk. I basically wanted the same model I had, just newer. We went to 5 different places, and none of them had even remotely similar models. Actually I hated everyone I saw, and the one I could possibly tolerate was going to cost me over $500. Uh huh, not happening. We are going to go back to a few other places and check out a few on the one's I had initially rejected, because we need a real desk, and my wife wants her sewing table back. Work has been a huge pain in the back, but my first real pay check was excellent, and that makes it all better . It kinda spooks me though. On my W2's I had put '0' down for everything, allowing the government to take the most out so I can collect it all back on my income tax return (or collect most of it), but it seems like they are not taking enough. I'm gonna have to check it out, because I don't want any nasty suprises next tax season. I got the initial outline of my tattoo done! Its a full back piece of black tiger stripes. Just the outline was done, and it took 1 1/2 hours, but it goes from my shoulders to my tail bone. Now all I need to do is get it filled in. I'm not sure how many sitting its going to take, but she said she was going to use a #9 Magnum needle, which is a wide shader needle, and should be able to buzz through it fairly quickly. As soon as I get a photo, I'll post it. Thats it for now. We're still trying to get settled in, but all the really hard parts are over. I appreciate everyone who has stuck by waiting for updates, now that we have a dedicated 'net connection, updates will be more frequent. Feel free to leave a comment, or email me at lynxsilver@gmail.com , and I could use a few more people on the Frappr Map . Thanks for stopping in!
