Julio Julián Castillo Valdéz (born June 3, 1956 in San Cristóbal, Dominican Republic) is a former backup infielder in Major League Baseball, playing mainly as a shortstop from 1980 through 1983 for the Boston Red Sox. Listed at 6' 2", 160 lb., he was a switch-hitter and threw right-handed.

In a four-season career, Valdéz was a .207 hitter (18-for-87) with one home run and eight RBI in 65 games, including 11 runs, two doubles and three stolen bases.

Valdéz also played in the Red Sox and Cubs minor league systems (1976-1988), hitting .235 with 49 home runs and 338 RBI in 1085 games.
