Producers and collaborators

This was Rouvas' first and only album to be produced almost entirely by the very successful and prestigious composer-lyricist Georgos Theofanous who had previously written for major artists such as George Dalaras, Yiannis Parios, Nana Mouskouri, and Evridiki. Popular folk-rock singer Stelios Rokkos also contributed four tracks to the album musically and lyrically, written especially for Rouvas who he had been good friends with and were also collaborating together for a series of shows at the time. While Theofanous and Rokkos were the main contributors to the album, Vangelis Konstantinidis also penned several tracks, as well as [Natalia Germanou]] and Nikos Gritsis.

Lyrical content and style

This album represented a more mature Rouvas as he was growing as an artist after much previous controversy. Although he had only been away from the Greek music scene for less than a full year during the time he was in the United States, many critics have referred to Kati Apo Mena as his big comeback album. Despite Rouvas having already experimented with many different genres infused into popular music, this album extended that variation, having a very heavy blues, soul, and overall 1960s type influence.
