La Crosse Area Builders Association


The La Crosse Area Builders Association(LABA) was formed in 1971 when a group of approximately 15 local builders started getting together to play cards and discuss events affecting the housing industry. It currently has more than 300 contractors, developers, suppliers, subcontractors and more. It covers La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, Vernon and Jackson Counties. The Builders Association is a 501(c)3 meaning it is a trade association just like a Chamber of Commerce, but specifically for the building industry. It is affiliated with the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA)http://www.wisbuild.org and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB)http://www.nahb.org.

The primary ways the public interacts with the La Crosse Area Builders Association is through its Parade of Homes, Home & Garden Show, and complaint handling component.http://www.labaonline.com

Members pay to receive benefits including Parade & Home Show participation, advertising opportunities, education, government lobbying, the organization trying to promote a positive image of the building industry, and encouraging more people to go into the construction trade.
