Nestlings

Nestling

A Nestling is a baby bird that was recently hatched and is still in a nest.

Although, nestlings are not fully developed and can't fly away if in danger such as the nest falling when a tree is being cut down. Nestlings do make a delightful meal for predators such as foxes, members of the racoon family, monkeys, tree dwelling apes such as orangutans, and if fallen from a tree, a chimpanzee may grab a nestling and gobble it up... as well as anyother meat eater or omnivore that can reach the nest.
