Amanda Balon

Amanda Balon is an eleven year old American child actress best known for playing the title role in the musical Annie. She has appeared in several community theater productions and independant films.

Biography

Amanda was born in Kansas and raised in Zimbabwe, Africa she moved back to America at age two. She auditioned for the musical Annie when she was just three years of age, belting out the song "Tomorrow". Several agents and directors were in the audience and gave applauded her calling it "The best 'Tomorrow' [they'll] hear in all their days". However, Amanda did not get in that production, she was too young according to directors. Amanda has one siter, Samantha, and a twin brother, Nick.

Besides Annie

Balon has performed several other times besides in the Annie tour. She starred in Ruthless as Tina and Baby June in Gypsy. Some of her independant film and made for TV film credits include Fix-it-Chicks, Nobody's Someone, Challenging the Creator and Esperanza Rising (starring as Esperanza).
