Zimbabwean Australian
' Zimbabwean migration to Australia refers to the movement to the Australia of people from Zimbabwe (formerly the colony of Southern Rhodesia). Today, a significant number of people in Australia were either born in Zimbabwe or are descended from Zimbabweans.
Background
The Zimbabwean population in Australia has been changing rapidly for two reasons, both of which mean that the 2001 figures are almost certainly substantially out of date. The 2006 Australian Census registered 20,157 Zimbabwe-born living in Australia.Population Distribution
