Princess Lucia Maria Raniera of Bourbon-Two Sicilies) (born 9 July 1908 at Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, Bavaria; died 3 November 2001 in São Paulo, Brazil) was a Princess of the Two Sicilies as fifth child and fourth-eldest daughter of Prince Ferdinand Pius of Bourbon-Two Sicilies, Duke of Calabria and his wife Princess Maria Ludwiga Theresia of Bavaria. Through her marriage to Prince Eugenio of Savoy, 5th Duke of Genoa, Lucia was Duchess of Ancona and Duchess of Genoa.

Marriage and issue

Lucia married Prince Eugenio of Savoy, sixth and youngest child of Prince Thomas of Savoy, 2nd Duke of Genoa and his wife Princess Maria Isabella of Bavaria, on 29 October 1938 at Nymphenburg Palace in Munich, Germany. Lucia and Eugenio had one daughter:

Denis Larkin (1908 – 2 July 1987) was an Irish Labour Party politician and trade union official. He was first elected to Dáil Éireann as a Labour Party Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin North East constituency at the 1954 general election and was re-elected at the 1957 general election. He lost his seat at the 1961 general election but was re-elected at the 1965 general election. He did not contest the 1969 general election. He served as Lord Mayor of Dublin from 1955–56.

Sir Frank George Young FRS (25 March 1908 - 20 September 1988) was a distinguished biochemist, noted for his work on diabetes, and the first Master of Darwin College, Cambridge.

Early Life and Education

Young was born in London and educated at Alleyn's School, Dulwich and University College, London where he graduated in chemistry and physics in 1929. After graduating, he remained at UCL to do postgraduate research in the field of biochemistry.

Jorge Carpio Nicolle (June 26, 1908July 3, 1993) was a Guatemalan politician and newspaper publisher. He was the founder of the Unión del Centro Nacional (UCN) in 1984, and ran as the party's candidate for president in the elections of 1985 and 1990. He came in second in both elections. He was the director and editor of El Grafico, at one time one of Guatemala's largest newspapers. He also served as Guatemala's Ambassador to the United Nations. > He was assassinated in July 3, 1993, along with three other political leaders of the UCN, in the municipality of Chichicastenango, El Quiché. Surviving witnesses reported that the murders took place after the group was intercepted by members of a Guatemalan Civil Defense Patrol, a type of paramilitary unit under the control of the Army. >

Arthur Richard "Dick" Doncaster (born Barry, 13 May 1908) was a Welsh professional association football player. He played for Bolton Wanderers, Exeter City, Crystal Palace, Reading and Gillingham between 1927 and 1936.

William James Frederick "Bill" Riordan (8 February 190815 January 1973) was an Australian politician and Minister for the Navy.

Riordan was born in Chillagoe, Queensland, son of William James Riordan (a member of the Queensland Legislative Council from 1917 to 1923) and nephew of Darby Riordan (member for Kennedy from 1929 to 1936) and Ernest Riordan (a member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 1936). He was educated at state schools at Chillagoe, Mareeba and Gordonvale and at Brisbane Grammar School. He worked in the Queensland Department of Justice and then became secretary to his father when he was appointed to the Industrial Court of Queensland in 1933.

Political career

On the death of his uncle Darby Riordan in 1936 he won the subsequent by-election for the Australian Labor Party and held the seat until his retirement before the 1966 election.
