József Szakovics. The tomb of Szakovics in Alsószölnök. József Szakovics Slovene Jožef Sakovič, German Joseph Sakowitsch (ar. 2 February, 187422 September, 1930) slovenian roman catholic priest. Szakovics was attend of the hungarian slovenian language (the wends dialect), and the slovenian identity.

Born in Vadarci (Prekmurje). His parents Mátyás Szakovics and Ilona Mácsek. Studied in Szombathely, was consecrate in 2 July, 1899. In Pápóc was assistant, chaplain Zalaegerszeg. In 1900 chaplain in Rechnitz, up 1901 in Črenšovci, up July, 1902 in Tótszentmárton, up 1905 in Tišina, up 1906 Weiden bei Rechnitz. In 1906 parish clerk in Beltinci, in 1909 in Cankova. In 1909-1913 clerk in Alsószölnök, near Szentgotthárd, where lived Germans, Slovenes and Hungarians. In 1913-1917 clerk in Turnišče, after priest up 1928. Dead in Alsószölnök.

Sandy Wollaston

Alexander Frederick Richmond “Sandy” Wollaston (1875 - 3 June 1930) was a British medical doctor, botanist, climber and explorer.

Wollaston studied medicine at King's College, Cambridge, graduating in 1896 and qualifying as a surgeon in 1903. However, he disliked the medical profession and preferred to spend his life on exploration and natural history. He travelled extensively, visiting Lapland, the Dolomites, Sudan and Japan, as well as participating in an expedition to the Ruwenzori Mountains of Uganda in 1905.
