Zhou Haizhong

Zhou is well known for his study of the distribution of Mersenne primes. In 1992 he posed the Zhou conjecture, which is concerned with the prime number distribution.
Zhou's academic interests are number theory, catasrophe thoery, fuzzy logic, applied linguistics, cosmic language and machine translation. He has received several honours and awards for his contribution to scientific research.
Yuan-Shih Chow

Currently he is a professor emeritus, Columbia University, USA.
He is the former chief director of the Institute of Mathematics, Academia Sinica, and the director of the Center of Applied Statistics, Nankai University (Tianjin). He is an academician of the Academia Sinica.
