Kenneth (Ken) Charles Baston is the member of the Legislative Council representing the Mining and Pastoral Region. Elected to Parliament in the 2005 state election he is a member of the Liberal Party.

James Robert "Jim" Short (born 7 December 1936) was an Australian politician. Born in Shepparton, Victoria, he attended the University of Melbourne before becoming a public servant with the Treasury Department. He was Executive Secretary of the Australian Industries Development Corporation from 1973-74. In 1975, he was elected to the Australian House of Representatives as the Liberal member for Ballaarat. He held the seat until his defeat in 1980. In 1984, he was elected to the Senate, where he remained until his resignation in 1997.

Donna Evelyn Mary Faragher (née Taylor) (born 12 September 1975) is an Australian politician. She has been a Liberal member of the Western Australian Legislative Council since 2005, representing the region of East Metropolitan.

Faragher was born in Bassendean, Western Australia. Prior to entering state politics, she was a staffer to federal Senator Chris Ellison.

Rodney Alexander Atkinson (born August 7 1948) was an Australian Liberal Party politician who represented the Division of Isaacs in the House of Representatives from 1990 to 1996.

Atkinson served in the Royal Australian Army from 1968 to 1975, serving with the 8th Battalion Royal Australian Infantry in Singapore and Malaysia from 1968-69, and in Vietnam from 1969-1970. He was awarded the Vietnam Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Palm.

John Charles Hodges (born 3 October 1937) is a former Australian politician. He was born in Brisbane, Queensland and was a pharmacist before entering the Parliament of Australia. He was an alderman of Redcliffe City Council from 1967 to 1976, and was Deputy Mayor from 1970 to 1976.

Hodges was the Liberal Party of Australia member for the House of Representatives seat of Petrie from the 1974 election until his defeat by Dean Wells at the 1983 election and from his defeat of Wells at the 1984 election until his defeat by Gary Johns at the 1987 election. He was Minister for Immigration and Ethnic Affairs from May 1982 until the March 1983 election.

Kenneth James Aldred (born August 1 1945) was an Australian politican who represented the Liberal Party in the Australian House of Representatives between 1975 and 1996.

Aldred was elected to represent the Division of Henty in Victoria in the 1975 federal election and re-elected in 1977, before being defeated by his predecessor in Henty, Labor candidate Joan Child, in the 1980 federal election.

Graeme Robert McDougall (born 21 November 1946), Australian politician, is the former Liberal Party of Australia member of the House of Representatives for the electorate of Griffith in Queensland from 2 March 1996 to 13 October 1998.

Born in New South Wales, McDougall was a small businessman and alderman for the Brisbane City Council. Election 98 - State by State, Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He entered parliament when he defeated the Australian Labor Party candidate, Kevin Rudd, for the seat of Griffith at the 1996 federal election. Rudd, who would later go on to become leader of the ALP and eventually Prime Minister, successfully re-contested Griffith in the 1998 election.
