Lieutenant-Colonel John William Arthur Stephenson DSO (1 August 1907 – 20 May 1982) was a Hong-Kong-born English cricketer who played first-class cricket in both India and England from the late 1920s until shortly after the Second World War. His Wisden obituarist opined that "there would always have been fewer empty grounds" had more players been like him. Obituary. Wisden Cricketers' Almanack 1983.

J Archdale

J Archdale was an English first class cricketer. Archdale made a single first-class appearance for Marylebone Cricket Club against Cambridge University Cricket Club in 1876. Archdale scored 7 runs in the first innings in which he batted, and 0 runs in the second - partnering Derbyshire cricketer William Mycroft in the tailend.

George Chesterton

George Herbert Chesterton (born 15 July 1922) is a former English cricketer who played first-class cricket between 1949 and 1966. The bulk of his appearances were for Worcestershire, whom he represented between 1950 and 1957. He was capped by the county in 1950. Very much a specialist bowler, he never reached 50 in over 100 first-class innings.

Captain (later Colonel) John Lambert (born 28 April 1772 in England; died 14 September 1847 at Thames Ditton, Surrey) was an English amateur cricketer who made 12 known appearances in major cricket matches from 1794 to 1810.

He was mainly associated with Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) Arthur Haygarth, Scores & Biographies, Volume 1 (1744-1826), Lillywhite, 1862.

Lieutenant Colonel Hugh Ferguson Montgomery CMG, DSO (6th May 1880, Umbala, Bengal, India - 10th December 1920, Bray, County Dublin, Ireland) was a British first class cricketer and Royal Marines Light Infantry officer.

Montgomery was born in India and was a cousin of Field Marshal Montgomery. He played first class cricket for Somerset (1901-1909) and then the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).

Edward Bligh

The Honourable Edward Bligh (19 September 17692 November 1840), was a noted amateur cricketer and a prominent early member of MCC.

Bligh was born in Meath, Ireland. He was a brother of the 4th Earl of Darnley (1767-1831). The 4th Earl was another keen amateur cricketer and was a direct ancestor of the England cricket captain Ivo Bligh (later the 8th Earl). Educated at Eton College, Edward Bligh embarked on a military career, attaining general rank within the 33rd Regiment of Foot.

Thomas Perks

Thomas Perks (2 October 188315 January 1953) was an English cricketer who played one first-class match, for MCC against London County at Crystal Palace Park in August 1902. In an innings defeat for MCC, Perks claimed three stumpings and one catch, although John Whiteside (who stumped one further man) was listed as MCC's wicket-keeper on the scorecard.

Perks was born in Worcester; he died in Ledbury, Herefordshire at the age of 69.
