Malcolm Goldie (born 1885 in Glasgow, Scotland) was a Scottish-U.S. soccer outside left who began his career in Scotland before moving to American Soccer League in 1922. He also earned one cap with the U.S. national team in 1925.

In 1915, Goldie began his professional career with Scottish Football League club Clydebank F.C.. At the time the club played in the Second Division, but during the war, the loss of players to the military led to the disbandment of the lower divisions and Clydebank played in the Western League. However, in 1917, they won promotion to the First Division where they remained until relegated following the 1921-1922 season. At that point, Goldie left the club and moved to the United States where he signed with Bethlehem Steel F.C. of the American Soccer League (ASL).

Eddie Hawkins is a former U.S. soccer midfielder. In 1984, he became the first native-born black player to appear with the caps with the U.S. national team.

High school and college

Hawkins grew up in mid-Hudson, New York where he attended Washingtonville High School. He was a three sport athlete at Washingtonville, starring on the school’s soccer, basketball and track teams. However, his talent lay with soccer and he was two-time All State and a Parade Magazine high school All American. His talent attracted the attention of pro scouts and when he graduated in 1980, the Washington Diplomats of the North American Soccer League (NASL) selected him in the second round of the draft.

Lucas Martin (born February 22, 1968) is a former U.S. soccer forward. Martin played three seasons in the Western Soccer Alliance and one in the American Professional Soccer League. He also earned two caps with the U.S. national team. He is now the co-owner and head chef of K&L Bistro in Sebastopol, California.

Martin attended La Jolla High School, graduating in 1986. He then attended UCLA where he played on the men’s soccer team from 1986 to 1988. In 1986, he was named the team’s offensive MVP.

Raymond “Ray” Hamilton was a U.S. soccer defender who earned two caps with the U.S. national team.

Both U.S. games came in defeats to Mexico in September 1937. His first game was a 7-3 loss on September 19 and the second was a 5-1 loss on September 25. >

Tommy Steel was a U.S. soccer goalkeeper who earned one caps with the U.S. national team in 1925.

Professional career

Steel played for the Boston Wonder Workers of the American Soccer League during the 1924-1925 season. He then moved to the New Bedford Whalers for at least two seasons.

Miguel “Michael” Malizewski (also spelled Maliszewski) is a former U.S. soccer forward. He played two seasons in the North American Soccer League and earned three caps with the U.S. national team.

Malizewski played in two games with Israel in September 1968. The first was a 3-3 tie and the second a 4-0 loss. His last game with the U.S. national team was a 1-0 loss to Haiti in a World Cup qualification match. >

National team

Georges earned three caps with the U.S. national team in March 1965. All three games were World Cup qualifiers. The first was a 2-0 loss to Mexico on March 12, 1965 followed by a 1-0 win over Honduras and a 1-1 tie with Honduras on March 21. > The U.S. did not qualify for the World Cup that year.

His first came at the 1924 Summer Olympics when he played in the U.S. first round win over Estonia. Following its elimination from the Olympics, the U.S. played two exhibition games. Rudd played in the second, a 3-1 loss to Ireland. >
