Broadband Everywhere!

I don't know a lot about FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, but right now, I like the way he talks. To him, the availability of broadband should be considered as critical as copper lines were when telephone service began criss-crossing the country in the last century. At the time, telephones became the preferred and required way of communicating, and the Internet is quickly taking the same place in people's minds. "More and more people expect and demand to have access to the Internet and new wireless technologies," Martin says. "It is important that the (FCC) try to find new ways to address" those needs.

It's no wonder I don't Trust Feedburner Numbers

This site does not use Feedburner nor it never will because I knew a long time ago that I can measure my own readership statistics a lot better than any third party will ever be able to.

I never understood why people would use a service in which they don't need. My blog application creates perfectly good RSS feeds, to ask a third party to copy that data and then redisplay under their branding never made any sense.

Some Clarifications about Geek News Central and RawVoice

I have been asked from time to time about the relationship of Geek News Central to RawVoice. Let me be very clear they are separate entities.

Geek News Central and several other sites I run personally are owned in whole by my wife and me a through a corporation we set up in 2005 called Podcast Connect Inc. Podcast Connect Inc. also manages the PodcastAwards.com site.
